In 2018, I was 4 years licensed in California and newly remarried. My solo private practice revenue was $44k and I became super worried. I didn't know how to market, and I opened up my evenings and weekends in hopes of attracting more clients. But this only made me resent my job more.

So I started making some changes. And I more than DOUBLED my income in 2019. And every year thereafter, I have had revenue comfortably over 100k. More importantly, I increased my revenue without averaging more than 15 client hours per week. I don't work weekends and I take good vacation time every year. I'm able to be there for my wife and daughter, for my parents and in laws, and for my friends and church, because of the flexibility and slower pace of my schedule.

There were 7 changes I made that affected my revenue increase, and I wish I learned these things in grad school!
